Merry Christmas from London ;)

The One With "Love" On Christmas

Image
When you slept for more than 12 hours a day (even with migraine) and a cup of strong Hor Yan Hoh, you will tend to stay awake well into the night... And here I am on the Christmas eve, with my eyes wide open :P Since it's the Christmas season, let's talk about "Love..." Love... is wonderful. And can be so painful. Love can heal so much pain, and can cause as much as it can heal. Love is so invincible. And yet, so "tangible". And Love can cause so much hate, and sometime you'll hate to be so much in love. True love is like what Steve Jobs said, "..Don't settle, keep looking...". And when you found one, please "...Do Settle, AND stop looking..." :) Merry Christmas to all my love ones and may you all be blessed with Love, Joy and Happiness in 2012... Wan & Heng... :) p/s: Found this touching youtube clip shared by Tracy ;)

The One With Steve Jobs

Image
To some, he gave them their very first computer at home. To many, he gave us music in the pocket. And to the World, he gave us a dream... Maybe, to say that he has changed the World is exaggerating. But it's an understatement to just say that he has changed our life, forever. The closest of me to this guy is probably working next to "his" office. But like many of us, his invention has already  filled up our tables, couch, pockets and or course, our heart.  And today's "One More (last) Thing" is, yes... good bye Steve Jobs.  Steve Jobs (1955-2011) (source: www.apple.com)

The One With "A" Dream Comes True

Image
You know, when we were young and probably naive. Watching a cartoon character and really thought that character is real and when you finally had a chance to meet that character, everything else seems irrelevant. This little girl has just had a dream comes true :) OMG... look at her face ( the little girl :), I think she will grows up not forgetting this moment forever and same with me, I had my dream came true as well!!! Welcome to Disneyland! Although this wasn't the "Disney" that was originally in my dream because I clearly don't recall Donald or Mickey speaks "bonjour" or "s'il vous plaît merci"!!!! But at least when I had my ears shut and looking at these famous cartoon characters and the Disney princesses walk right through in front of you, like that little girl, anything else is irrelevant. :) Of course the little one is not just me as I brought along a little P

The One With Happy Mid-Autumn a.k.a Good Bye Summer 2011

Image
Wow... It's already September and what before we realise it, Christmas presents shopping might just be weeks away ;) Afterall, supermarkets are selling Christmas pudding already! Alrite... summer's over. And yup, been lazy and busy and let's start blogging again. So, what happened during the summer? That's probably it ;) Sunflowers invaded the apartment... Steve Jobs got "promoted" to become the Chairman ;) and of course, the real "image" of London. Apart from that, I think it's just a not too bad summer. Warmer than I remember compare to last year but, that's it! And of course, they are these 3 little fellars... Aren't they cute!!! Anyway, these little kids will grow up well and start annoying people like us ;) Finally, Happy Mid Autumn to all!

The One With Playing YouTube in The Background on iPhone

Image
Do you normally watch YouTube (on the go) on your iPhone or iPad and sometimes wish if you could just have it running on the background so that you can do something else like surfing the net or browse your email? It turns out that we can do that and it took me so long to "accidentally" figure this out. 1) First, fire up YouTube on your iPhone or iPad and search for the videos that you want to "listen". Then click play.   2) Then click on the HOME button and you will notice that the sound fade out and you will return to the home screen. REMEMBER not to press stop! At the Home Screen, double click on the HOME button and the multitask bar will appear. Swipe it to your right and you will see media player button and the YouTube icon on the bottom right. 3) Finally click play and the YouTube will continue where you have left and at the same time you can enjoy multitasking to your other apps. Yay!!! This works too with any videos on your video library and wah lah.

The One With The SHIT, SHIT, SHIT Man

Repost from my earlier blog... I've not rant about the Malaysian politics for some time. But the recent comments  from the 2nd most powerful politician in  'Malaysia' and another fat uncle made me really sick. "... I am a Malay first..." ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rxiJSs7aYE&feature=player_embedded ) WTF??? Aren't you the deputy prime minister of MALAYSIA ? ( not Malay) Aren't your boss (najib la) created some weird theme called 1Malaysia ? (not 1Malay) Aren't your coalition party include MCA and MIC that gave you the winning votes to govern the country? (not just UMNO) Aren't you realized yet?? By saying this you are literally telling your boss, your coalition parties and your constituent that as long as you are not Malay, I don't give a SHIT!!??? Talking about shit, this fat shity fellar (PERKASA head) came out the winner by translating what our DPM wanted to say. '... I say it 3 times.. I don't give a shit to non Mal

The One With Bersih 2.0 in London

Image
Today, I am not one of them but I AM ONE OF US! Some might called us Monkeys, but if we have to be one to demand for a FAIR & CLEAN election, let's turn Malaysia into a Planet of the Ape. It's suppose to be like in London where it started peacefully and ended in a peaceful harmony way, the Malaysian Police choose the ending where we will hate them more! Good luck Malaysian. It has just all began... Harimau Malaya

The Malaysian Dilemma III

Image
In case you are wondering, why part 3? These are the links to my previous "Dilemmas" :) Malaysian Dilemma I ( link ) Malaysia Dilemma II ( link ) I think when we say Bersih in malay now, one will automatically think of the colour of my name :) Yellow or 黃. The recent Bersih "planned" event might not have ended in a way they thought it would be but all will agree that it has succeeded in delivering it's message. The current government has to go. I was struck by a comment left by a "Malaysian" when I left a small message in the Bersih's Facebook page. He said "... You sial cina...." Instead of getting angry of that "Malaysian", I actually felt really sad. And within moments it has turned into disappointment, not at that "Malaysian" but at our current government. 1) After more than 30 yrs implementing the so called NEP that was suppose to eradicate poverty among the Malays, they FAILED and created more imp

The One With Blogging On The Go

Alrite. I thought it has been a while since I last blogged :) with the recent workload at work plus my super laziness at home, probably the only time I would do is would be, on the go on my beautiful iPad :) Can't stop saying how amazed I am with this small little screen. Ya.. 10 inches not reallybthat small la, but small enough for me to carry around and reading booms and mags that was never though possible before. On a platform waiting for a train, everyone seems to be eager to home after a long day. And literally, in the summer months we have sunshine up to 9pm before the sun setting after 10!! Still amazes me even after so many years in this country. Hope I can do this more often, but let's call it for this time.

The One With Obama in Town

Image
Wow... Has it been that long I've never updated my blog? ;) Let's see... Oh, Obama is in town. Yah.. Who doesn't know. Not like the one who put a "super injunction" on what he thinks he can cover up and thought, it's still 1980s... Dear Ryan, it's 2011 and the news we read on the paper every morning is at least 6 hours outdated! :) I think I've said this once too many. Back to Barrack, son of Obama. Of course every news and every channel will talk about him. And probably the best time for Ryan where all the news about this son of Obama will buried his intention to cover up. And wonder if he will be playing for the Champions League tomorrow? My prediction, 2-1 to Barca :) And being England, UK or Great Britain. No news is bigger than fashion. Yup... Forget about what's the whole purpose of these Yankees came with an entourage of apparently over a thousand (can't blame them as that poor fellar, son of Bin Laden was recently been "termi

The One With ICELAND

Image
Before embarking to this Island up north, I thought after experiencing London's winter for 5 years I should be able to handle the temperature between 5-8 degree. Little did I expect, we could faced 4 seasons within 60 minutes and it goes on for the whole day! And the wind... gosh. And of all things I brought along, I've left my glove at home! And after continuous hail, sleet, rain, sun and of course STRONG WIND, this is what we got :) As I told my wife, "never stay too long to leave our emotion behind the country..." and after a few nights in this wonderful country, both of us were immensely captivated by the natural beauty of this very low density Island up north near Greenland :) For future reference, these are the things that we learn about Iceland; 1) The exchange rate is ISK180 to GBP1 (April 2011, Yup... throughout the trip we were like thinking an exchange rate which is far from what's the real exchange rate is ;) 2) They accept Credit card EVERYW

The One With Another Easter, Another Year

Image
It's kinda scary to realise that we are already in April and by the time most of the people in the UK go back to work, it's already 2nd May 2011 ;) Yup... 5 months have pass and what have we done so far in 2011?? :) Nothing much I'm sure many will quietly tell themselves ;) But I'm sure no one will disagree with me that so far 2011 hasn't turn out to be a good year, yet. Taking this opportunity I would like to send my sincere regards to all my colleagues in Japan and although all replied back saying that no close relatives or friends was "affected" (which I'm glad to hear). But I think no one is not affected at all by this shocking news that shocked the World. And yet, while many people are trying their best to save lives and rebuild their country, these blardy people in the Middle East (yah.. Libya) are trying so hard to KILL others. Haihh.... In this World where someone can afford 136 million pounds to buy an "apartment" in Hyde Park,
