The Malaysian Dilemma III

Image
In case you are wondering, why part 3? These are the links to my previous "Dilemmas" :) Malaysian Dilemma I ( link ) Malaysia Dilemma II ( link ) I think when we say Bersih in malay now, one will automatically think of the colour of my name :) Yellow or 黃. The recent Bersih "planned" event might not have ended in a way they thought it would be but all will agree that it has succeeded in delivering it's message. The current government has to go. I was struck by a comment left by a "Malaysian" when I left a small message in the Bersih's Facebook page. He said "... You sial cina...." Instead of getting angry of that "Malaysian", I actually felt really sad. And within moments it has turned into disappointment, not at that "Malaysian" but at our current government. 1) After more than 30 yrs implementing the so called NEP that was suppose to eradicate poverty among the Malays, they FAILED and created more imp

The One With Blogging On The Go

Alrite. I thought it has been a while since I last blogged :) with the recent workload at work plus my super laziness at home, probably the only time I would do is would be, on the go on my beautiful iPad :) Can't stop saying how amazed I am with this small little screen. Ya.. 10 inches not reallybthat small la, but small enough for me to carry around and reading booms and mags that was never though possible before. On a platform waiting for a train, everyone seems to be eager to home after a long day. And literally, in the summer months we have sunshine up to 9pm before the sun setting after 10!! Still amazes me even after so many years in this country. Hope I can do this more often, but let's call it for this time.

The One With Obama in Town

Wow... Has it been that long I've never updated my blog? ;) Let's see... Oh, Obama is in town. Yah.. Who doesn't know. Not like the one who put a "super injunction" on what he thinks he can cover up and thought, it's still 1980s... Dear Ryan, it's 2011 and the news we read on the paper every morning is at least 6 hours outdated! :) I think I've said this once too many. Back to Barrack, son of Obama. Of course every news and every channel will talk about him. And probably the best time for Ryan where all the news about this son of Obama will buried his intention to cover up. And wonder if he will be playing for the Champions League tomorrow? My prediction, 2-1 to Barca :) And being England, UK or Great Britain. No news is bigger than fashion. Yup... Forget about what's the whole purpose of these Yankees came with an entourage of apparently over a thousand (can't blame them as that poor fellar, son of Bin Laden was recently been "termi

The One With ICELAND

Before embarking to this Island up north, I thought after experiencing London's winter for 5 years I should be able to handle the temperature between 5-8 degree. Little did I expect, we could faced 4 seasons within 60 minutes and it goes on for the whole day! And the wind... gosh. And of all things I brought along, I've left my glove at home! And after continuous hail, sleet, rain, sun and of course STRONG WIND, this is what we got :) As I told my wife, "never stay too long to leave our emotion behind the country..." and after a few nights in this wonderful country, both of us were immensely captivated by the natural beauty of this very low density Island up north near Greenland :) For future reference, these are the things that we learn about Iceland; 1) The exchange rate is ISK180 to GBP1 (April 2011, Yup... throughout the trip we were like thinking an exchange rate which is far from what's the real exchange rate is ;) 2) They accept Credit card EVERYW
